Born in Dublin in 2001, Charlotte Kairua is a passionate and young emerging textile designer who specialises in knit design. From her love of all things fashion and textiles, she pursued a Bachelors Degree in Textile Surface Design at the National College of Art and Design, Dublin.

 

After specialising in Constructed Textiles and designing her Degree Collection, she completed her education in 2024.

Colour and positivity is at the forefront of what Charlotte strives for in her work. Bringing playfulness and light into every piece she designs and ensuring that her designs bring joy to everyone who experience them. Blending together playful approaches with serious concepts is what drives her design process.

Equipped in the knit machine, weaving and handwork skills Charlotte Kairua is bringing a fresh approach to traditional craftsmanship, showcasing the fusion between fashion, textiles and fun is beyond possible - it is the future.
